These are soft, easy to put on and take off.It's better to keep the opening near the top of the pillow because feet can get caught in the opening flap system.Tried bleaching them to get a softer shade of green, but they didn't lighten in the wash.I had a feeling I should hand wash separately given the color (burgundy) and I was right! Washed in the tub with blue dawn and hot water and it bled like crazy. After the second rinse, the water ran clear and I popped it in the dryer on medium heat with a dryer sheet.
